Picnic Areas at Stanley Park

Enjoy your day at Stanley Park by packing a picnic. We have 2 picnic areas to choose from, one located near our Rose Garden; the other near our Children's Playscape & Athletic Fields. Both picnic areas are first-come, first-served and cannot be reserved.

The Recreation Picnic Area is adjacent to the children's playground and small pavilion. Activities near this area are tennis courts, basketball courts, wildlife sanctuary trails, and the duck pond within walking distance. Restrooms are nearby in addition to plenty of parking. To access this picnic area please use the Park Recreation entrance (Gate 1 - Woodward entrance).

The Pavilion Annex Picnic Area is adjacent to the Pavilion Annex. The Rose Garden and Carillon Tower are nearby providing a more scenic surrounding area. Restrooms are located by the Beveridge Pavilion. Parking is available in the main Rose Garden parking lot. To access this picnic area please use either the main entrance off Western Avenue (Gate 2) or the Kensington Avenue entrance (Gate 3 or 4).

The picnic areas are available on a first come first serve basis and are free of charge. Our picnic areas include picnic tables, and grills or fireplaces with barbecue pits  for your use. Please remember to bring your own charcoal and as always, please leave the site exactly the way you found it. Trash cans are stationed nearby for your convenience.
