Frequently Asked Questions???
Does Stanley Park receive funding from any Federal, State or City for the operation of the park?
Stanley Park does not receive any funding from these sources. The Park is funded through the generosity of The Beveridge Family Foundation and many private donors. For ways of giving please contact our Develoment Department @ 413-568-9312 x 111, 413-572-2900 or view the "ways of giving" donation link here on the website.
Is the Park open year round? Now
The Park is officially open from the first Saturday in May through the last Sunday in November. The Recreation gate to the park remains open during the off season, but it is suggested that all visitors use extreme caution and care while visiting when the Park is officially closed. When the Park is officially closed for the season, patrons who visit do so at their own risk and are responsible for their well being.
Are we allowed to bring dogs to the Park?
Yes, as long as they are leashed and the owners clean up after them. Disposable material and five recepticles are available throughout the Park. Dogs are not allowed in the Rose & other Flower Gardens within the Park.
Are we allowed to bring 4 X 4 dirt bikes in any area of the Park?
No, these vehicles are not allowed anywhere in the Park.
May we bring and set out a blanket and picnic in the Rose Garden?
No picnics or blankets are allowed in the Rose Garden Area. However, you may do so on the Recreation side of the park, The park also provides tables and charcoal grills for your convenience in designated picnic areas.
Does the Park feed the ducks, geese and swans and do they stay year-round?
Yes, the ducks, geese and swans are fed daily and most if not all remain year round. The upper pond (water wheel) is kept open with an agitator so that ice will not form. This process allows them to remain in their habitat.
Is camping allowed in Stanley Park?
Unfortunately, camping on any part of the Park property is not allowed.
